correction

may peace be upon you

I can't exactly remember whether its the Thursday or Friday's lesson. Anyway, on that day, they were drawing sketches of raw and hard-boiled chicken egg with the shells on and after both eggs are cut open or peeled off respectively (a before/after sketch thingy). At the end of the session, they were each allowed to peel a hard-boiled quail egg and eat it in class.

"Teacher Na-dyaaa,... very nice." Agnes said.

"I know Teacher very nice!!"

"Noooo... Teacherrr, the egg is very nice."

Can't help it but smile, ey? (:

insecure at ten, sheltered at twenty

May peace be upon us.

From the eve of my birthday to the end of my birthday itself, I felt sheltered, taken cared of and loved. Its the little things, still. Although, I must admit there was a point of time in the past where I'm always unsatisfied. This time, I'm just glad those who mattered to me remembered.. So Thanks, so very much (:

Anyhoos, on the official day I turned 20 falls on a Saturday which is very, very, very rare (whose isnt?) HAHA. A certain person told me to dress up and wear someth "grand" then he brought me to the zoo. You can guess my reaction. Let's just say I'm very glad I was adamant enough to change my shoes before going off. ;p

The funny thing is wearing a dress still made me do some crazy stunts, like climbing a giant-tortoise statue, waving my arms at random while trying to decide a pose for a picture and holding a cut-out chinese ghost hand poster, which awarded me some out-loud comments from a variety (of age/gender) passerbys (tourists/visitors) and curious looks. (takpe yer. biasaaa)

Hmmmm, still!, i like the zoo-hat! Dora-the-explorer ganjue. ;D

maybe growing up means to learn from our past, appreciating what we had, what was taken and be thankful of what we have.

Wallahu a'lam bisawab.

the back-up plan

may peace be upon you.

I'm only 20 not 21. Birthdays come with a lot of things and one of them is "Being expected to be someone whom sometimes you yourself aren't ready to be".

My 20 (well, almost) years of plan was to to see the world (or atleast go out and travel alone or with a good friend) before settling down to reality and adulthood. I wanted to put aside worries of joblessness and the feeling of being useless and ingrate for a little while and cherish the freedom of completing my diploma, a baby-step-study-stop sure, but still ?

I just wanted a break from school, work, interviews and the "Hey, what are you doing now?" thingys. Its depressing. Weird, they say you'll only get depressing birthdays when you're 40 and experiencing menopause or 'transitions of life'. I'm 20 years early. whoa. hurrah for me.

Time for a back-up plan.

second raya with love

May peace be upon you.

After a year of not raya-ing together, the secondary school sisters went for it on the 25th Sept 2010!

Only went for three houses, but what-the-helmet, the company and the quality time spent matters more (: Along with "penyeri" event: Aisyah's sister, mom and nephew -Aniq and the performers of the Gek Poh Community Center.

The more the merrier, of course, the ones who made the event possible and plausible: Salwa, Zammir, Raihan, Fhaz and the inspiring: Ismail Haron! xD

Its good ^^

(still missing a person. is this gonna be permanent?)

postponed

May peace be upon you.

The class that I've been looking forward to all of this month has been postponed to the 23rd of OCtober. which is like soooo longggg ): i tak sanggup! There's a malay saying, "kalau tunggu lama2, nanti diambil orang" but in my case its a 'thing' uh hahaha; So if you wait too long for something, there's a chance it won't happen.

So bummed. =/

I have been receiving a few offers lately. I have been hearing advices that goes something like this: Go with what you are passionate in, what's your interest?Frankly, to answer that, I like a lot of things but what I'm passionate about might be to learn something new and be good at it. What is the It? is the real brainwrecker. So I guess I really have to perform Istiharah for help. With the schedule/routine I have now, I'm too happy to stress myself in doing that.. =/ bad huh. Today is the first time, I made my PY1B laugh at me as a whole. Even though the joke's on me, it feels good to hear them laugh. In a month's time, I might not even be among them at all.

a necessary but painful goodbye

may peace be upon you.
painful yet pretty
its a knife-deep feeling
but so wonderful to see
to see you taking your first steps
hear you asking whats next
maybe i just need time to savour this grip
maybe i'll feel better after a kiss
i figured i'll be emotional about this
i dint know it'll be this hard
so i tell myself be patient
to see you off with a cheery wave
for i know i'll have to let you go
someday, you'll have to find your own way.
turn your head around and see
remember me and the things we did sometime
for as sure as your feet would bring
thats how full my heart will brim
these tears i shed behind
of missing you and the joy you gave.
said your goodbye and thank yous.
well i'm here because of you.

hugsandkisses for my K1s and 2.

My dearest buggerits, through all the months we've been through, watching each of you coming out of your shell; even as I write this down, I can see some of your faces in my head. I'll miss you.

Just have to remember;
1) We belong to Allah s.w.t.
2) When we love, we are learning to share; and sharing is caring.

SubhanAllah.

i can be your playmate

May peace be upon you.

I'll remember this day: 23/09/2010

I'm looking for a friend to-day

Will you be my friend and play?

Have a little talk with meeeee-ee.

Build a tower, 1! 2! 3!

Clap our hands, heel and toe!

Join our hands and round we go~

Wave goodbye and thats the end.

Time to find another friend ~

If you asked, was the class messy during the song. It was. Did they run around? Well, some did. Did they have fun? I think they did. So it was fun. like really. I wished I had done this sooner.

I think I'll miss them like crazy. But they'll have to go someday.

wishy washy

May peace be upon you.

The best gift, though, would be a full minute of your precious, busy time, to say a prayer for me wishing me forgiveness from Allah, thinking about my best of health, longevity, happiness and everything nice. You see, I know you are all very busy people, but it'll be really grand, if you could dedicate this day, even if its a minute of it to remember me and wish me well even if I don't know it. You have my advance thanks and jazakAllah, may Allah reward you with goodness.

May peace be upon us... Mum is busy making Swiss Rolls (kek gulung) in the kitchen now. Thus, the "stress period" has officially starts, not just for her but all of us.

Just in case some of you are interested in the kind of swiss rolls my mum took orders for, below are snapshots of them with price(s);

yang pertama

may peace be upon us

When the lot of them has just entered the school's compound,
'It' was within my grasp approximately about 8.03am.
'It' was the very first of my Teachers' Day Gift.

how i fell in love with the most unlikely

may peace be upon you.

This is based on my true story.

There is a boy in my class. He joined us in the middle of the school term. By then, all of us are friends with each other (well, sort of). Mummy told me we should be kind to the new kids because they might feel scared on their first day. But we were all so very excited to meet him, we can't wait to tell him everything; what he should and should not do. On his first day, he came with his grandma and mom. They look very friendly yet wary of us at the same time.

I was wary of them too. Especially because, I know the class don't like me so much sometimes. So I wanted him to be my friend.

Our chinese 老師, told me to watch out for him because his English was not so good. I said, "Of course, alright".

I watched him as the days passed. He disgusts me now. He does not smile. He picks his nose, drool on his book and used his finger to erase his letters instead of calling for erasers. And he smells! Sometimes he will start to cry. When he cries, he makes such a lot of noise and starts jibbering in chinese (which I can't understand!).

That's not even the worst part. The worst part of it is that when he gets very upset he wants to go home! He will really, really, really, literally run away from our classroom or dining room or music room and head the door. Even then, he did not stop there! He will go out and run to the direction of his home until I grabbed him and pulled him back. It is very exhausting.

He is in our class for a month now. I watch him play with the other kids. I realised when he get really upset and confused over why he was being scolded or beaten by his classmates, will he then throw his tantrums and run away. Also, he smelled really bad before because the air-con was spoiled and he was sweating. I forgot all of us were smelly too.

I like him again now although he is still very stubborn. His staggering chinese is audible now and even though I don't speak fluent chinese I could guess the basic things he is trying to say by his body language. Sometimes I would hear him laugh. He has such a happy laugh, its hard not to laugh along. and his smile, he has a very nice smile. I think he is learning to understand.

The best thing happened just a few hours ago. He was on his motorbike. The one you sit and just press a lever near the foothold with your feet to move. I guess his motorbike is broken or something because his grandma was there pulling on his motorbike with a rope to help it move.

And just when I thought he would pretend to not recognise me or didn't even recognise me (like he did before), he called out to me infront of his grandma and greeted me with a smile,

"I do believe in fairies, I do, I do"

May peace be upon you(:

After the slight satisfaction of cleaning a part of my room (yeah, just a part, not the whole room), I wanted to do something more. but it turns out, I don't have quite the energy to whipped everything in my real room into place. Soooo, I took the satisfaction of cleaning out A.R.'s room! TA-DA!

looks oh-so-cozy!

sparkly! (sadly it doesn't have a theme):

the kitchen!! absolute mouth-watering temptations!!! *drools*

kind of surprised at how this room turned out to become. (:

Total damage : +-$$ 25000 NeopetsCoins (T_T)

Next stop! (still stuck, at) MY BEDROOM!! have to start spring cleaning now, before fasting fever sets in. hmmm mmmmm hmmm. My job for tomorrow will include taking photos of the kids' work. Will show you people some of their creations, insyaAllah, because I'm super egg-cited of what they have done. Give them the right materials and voila! Something out of nothing, its like magic! Suddenly made me think of Tinkerbell and Peter. haha. like, really (:

my k1s

may peace be upon you.

the buggerits came to school for 1 and a half hrs only.
we played 4 kinds of game and sang the anthem, said the pledge and sang national songs.
at the end of the day, they were given coin bank souvenirs.
such a varsity of reactions. imagine that? haha

it was my first time being in the same room w the nurseries.
most were slow much (with a few exceptions) but i guess at the age of four, anyone would still be awfully shy huh?(;

I'm not sure why but it felt a little bit more rewarding then usual to be in their (my usual buggerits) presence today. nevermind the bone-tired feeling straight after. :x

would definitely do it all again. wallahualam. (:
